In life, all of us have layers that are created from the experiences that we have every day. Sometime these layers are hidden for fear of being discovered or not accepted, for not complying with social expectations. Perhaps we are simply afraid to step outside stereotypes by showing our true colors.
As artists, it is our responsibility to show our internal colors since these explosive colors serve as an invitation to reflect on the layers that have made us mature, that have helped us grow. These layers are what define who we are today.
Understanding these layers is essential to transcend as a community. That is the role of the artist: artistic expression that brings us to self-understanding both as individuals and as an integral part of society.
