Edwin Gil – Lizette Cruz Watko Award Life Time Achievement

The artist Edwin Gil receive Lizette Cruz Latino Diamante Award Lifetime Achievement Award Watko 2013 for his artistic and social history in the state of North Carolina.

Diamonds awards honor individuals and / or organizations making significant contributions to the Hispanic community of North Carolina, and present five scholarships to outstanding High School students across North Carolina.

With the support of Blue Cross Blue Shield and Univision40, Diamante, Inc. presents the 18th Annual Latino Diamante Awards.North Carolina’s most prestigious Latino/Hispanic event, will feature a welcome reception with a Latino artist’s art exhibit and silent auction, followed by dinner and the awards presentation all in Rolling 20’s theme.  The audience will be addressed by Congressman David Price, Durham Mayor Bill Bell, and Consul General of Mexico Javier Díaz DeLeón.  The Keynote speaker will be Ezekiel Dixon-Roman PHD Professor Penn State University.  Edwin Pitti Univision40 and Sheyenne Rodriguez ABC11 will serve as masters of ceremony along with live music by Casablanca Orchestra, and dancing with DJ Samuel.
